As we move forwards into the Spring, it seems apparent that our working schedules may still be disrupted as a result of the pandemic.
Whether you work from home or alternatively you are able to work out of the house, fatigue might still be a long-lingering symptom that is getting the better of you, whether that is fatigue in general, or long covid.
From experience, I know how debilitating fatigue can be and how it permeates into every aspect of our lives, challenging our mental health, relationships, our social lives and productivity as a result.
So how can we work towards the goal of improved energy in 2022?
Well, I would say everybody's fatigue is very individual.
Fatigue is a symptom that can be caused by various different factors and it can be highly complex:
1. Physical - e.g., a nutritional deficiency / food intolerance, poor diet, adrenal, thyroid or mitochondrial insufficiencies.
2. Environmental - doing too much of one thing/lack of variety e.g. lack of physical activity, remaining in the same position using poor postures, and not getting out for fresh air.
3. Emotional - stressors and mental challenges can drain our energy reserves a considerable amount.
Try and adopt a birds-eye view to you and how you live your life. There may be some areas that you aren’t addressing, such as your diet, or significant life stressors that still remain.
As always, it is so crucial to work with a practitioner to really uncover what your unique triggers might be, what the drivers are which are stopping you from reaching where you want to be, and making sufficient steps to rectify them.
